🛳️🤯🇬🇷 The CORINTH CANAL , in GREECE , is one of the wonders of human engineering that cuts the isthma that connects the Peloponnese with continental Greece. This narrow passage, only 6.4 kilometres long and about 25 meters wide, was excavated in solid rock, creating a seafront that saves more than 300 kilometres of navigation around the Peloponnese. Its construction began in 1881 and represented a monumental challenge for the technology of the time, becoming a historic achievement. With walls that soar to 79 metres in height, this channel is a visual spectacle that draws in navigators and tourists alike. Although not suitable for modern oversized ships, it remains an important symbol of human ingenuity. Today, it's mainly used for small boats and sightseeing cruise ships, but its historical impact and impressive design continue to leave those who visit it breathless.
